In other Sunset League games:

Fountain Valley 66, Esperanza 58--Ryan Moreau, a 6-0 junior guard, scored 30 points to lead visiting Fountain Valley (11-9, 3-2), which led by 17 at the half.

Los Alamitos 64, Huntington Beach 53--The Oilers took a 14-2 lead to start the game, but Los Alamitos (11-8, 3-2) went on a 28-4 run to take the lead for good, sparked by Ryan Ellis and Jeff Grgas, who combined for 19 points in the run. Ellis led the Griffins with 17 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Grgas finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.

Nick Sinclair led Huntington Beach (7-13, 2-3) with 20 points and John Davidson had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

In the Freeway League:

No. 3 Sonora 57, Fullerton 55--Marqui Worthy put back a missed shot with 30 seconds remaining to give Sonora (17-4, 4-1) the victory.

No. 5 Troy 61, Buena Park 34--Jerry Inzunza scored 15 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter, when Troy (16-3, 5-0) outscored visiting Buena Park, 25-5.

La Habra 65, Sunny Hills 43--Josh Fischer scored 17 points and Nathan Allard added 10 to lead La Habra (11-10, 3-2). Bim Okunrinboye led Sunny Hills (10-11, 1-4) with 19 points.

In the Orange League:

No 3 Brea Olinda 89, Western 66--Chris McMillian scored 28 points and Jeff Mason had 12 points and 18 rebounds for Brea Olinda (18-3, 4-1), which plays first-place Magnolia Friday.

No. 8 Magnolia 73, Savanna 57--Magnolia’s Zamiro Bennem scored 38 points to tie a 31-year-old school record for points in a league game. The Sentinels improved to 18-3, 5-0.

Valencia 69, Anaheim 58--Rich Reynoza scored 23 points to lead Valencia (8-13, 2-3), which led, 29-26, at the half. Mike McCowan added 17 points for the Tigers and Danny Ortega had 12.

Jesus Salcedo led Anaheim (8-11, 1-4) with 19 points and Tru Nguyen added 17.
