2 Charter Reform Meetings Set
Two public meetings on Los Angeles City Charter reform will be held next week.
On Monday, the elected charter reform commission will discuss Civil Service and a proposed bill of rights. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Sunland Tujunga Municipal Auditorium, 7747 Foothill Blvd., Tujunga. Information, (213) 977-6700.
On Wednesday, officials with the appointed charter reform commission will vote on several proposals, including one that would make the city’s paid, full-time Board of Public Works a part-time advisory commission. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the Department of Water and Power Building, 15th floor, 111 N. Hope St. For information, call (213) 367-5234.
