Forward Vitali Yachmenev was traded by the Kings to the expansion Nashville Predators on Tuesday for future considerations.

Yachmenev, who finished tied for second in NHL rookie scoring in the 1995-96 season with 53 points, spent three seasons with the Kings and never came close to the numbers he put up in his first season. The right wing played only four games with the Kings last season, spending much of the season with the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the International Hockey League.

The Kings also announced their preseason schedule, which will include two games in Las Vegas and two games against the Mighty Ducks, the first on Sept. 22 at the Great Western Forum, and the second on Sept. 28 at the Arrowhead Pond.
