Annual Concert Series to Begin Next Week

The city’s Community Services Department will kick off its annual summer concert series next week.

The free outdoor concerts will be at the Brea Dam Recreational Area, 1600 N. Harbor Blvd. Each concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Picnics are encouraged.

The lineup:

* Wednesday--Blues by Bubba and the Big Bad Blues Band

* July 22--Traditional New Orleans jazz by Gremoli

* July 29--Surf rock by the Torquays

* Aug. 5--Funky rock by All That

* Aug. 12--Fullerton College’s steel drum band Pangea

* Aug. 19--Country and western music by the Hired Guns

* Aug. 26--1950s doo-wop music by the Alley Cats.
