State Commerce Branch Opens
The California Trade and Commerce Agency has opened a new office in Orange County, one of four satellite facilities throughout the state. Previously, Orange County’s business community was served out of the San Diego regional office.
The new office, at the Orange County Business Council in Irvine, will be used to work with local companies on retention and expansion projects, and to help companies interested in locating here with such matters as site selection, permits and arranging for utilities.
“It makes sense for us to have a presence in Orange County,” said Mike Mirando, a spokesman for the agency. “We have an increasing workload of companies coming to us looking at Orange County.”
