Bus Fares Reduced to Mark Anniversary
Riding the bus will become less expensive July 29 when fares will drop to 25 cents to celebrate South Coast Area Transit’s silver anniversary.
The one-day price rollback is also an attempt to lure new riders. The agency provides bus service to several west county communities including Ventura, Oxnard, Ojai and Port Hueneme.
The transit service will also distribute about 1,000 free vinyl wallets that can be used to hold a monthly bus pass.
Fares usually range between 50 cents and $1.
