Man Is Arrested in $170 Robbery
A 23-year-old Oxnard man was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of robbing another man at knifepoint.
Luciano Tovar Quiroz reportedly took $170 from a man after waving down a car at 1st Street and Sarita Drive about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
After Quiroz left the scene, the two occupants of the car, who asked not to be identified, followed him back to a residence on 2nd Street, authorities said. Oxnard police went to the home and arrested Quiroz.
The money was not recovered, but a knife believed to be the weapon was found, authorities said.
Quiroz remained in Ventura County Jail on $50,000 bail Thursday.
