Reno Beats Vigilantes With 9th-Inning Run
Scott Glasser, a former Santa Ana College standout, drove in the winning run with a two-out single in the ninth to give host Reno a 6-5 victory over the Vigilantes in a Western Baseball League game Thursday.
The Vigilantes scored twice in the seventh to take a 5-1 lead but gave up three runs in the bottom of the inning, then single runs in the eighth and ninth.
Reno’s ninth-inning rally started on a one-out error by third baseman Manny Gagliano.
Bodie Shepard had two hits and two runs batted in and Phil Kernan hit his ninth home run for the Vigilantes (6-8), who had won the first two games of the series.
