O.C. Golfers Ready for CIF Championships

The CIF-Southern California Golf Assn. team and individual finals begin with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start today at the SCGA Members’ Club in Murrieta.
University and Fountain Valley are the only Orange County teams in the finals. All players on teams in the finals are eligible for the individual championship.
Foothill’s Nick Seymour,fourth at the Southern Section individual finals with a 72 at Friendly Hills in Whittier, leads a group of Orange County hopefuls.
Fountain Valley’s Candie Kung will play 36 holes today, teeing off at 7:30 a.m. in the girls’ individual finals. Kung and Woodbridge’s Yon Yim lead a group of 12 Orange County golfers who qualified.
