Orange Lutheran 1, Paraclete 0--Paraclete stranded nine baserunners and committed two key third-inning errors.

With two out in the third inning, Orange Lutheran’s Jenny Miklos lined a single to center, which skipped through the legs of Jackie Kolesaz and allowed Miklos to advance to third.

Paraclete pitcher Amanda Wachsmuth (12-4) then threw a low pitch that trickled through the legs of the catcher and allowed Jenny Miklos to score the only run of the game at Concordia University in Irvine.

Sophomore Jessica Edwards (13-6) made the run stand up for Orange Lutheran (20-9). She allowed three hits, struck out 10 and walked five.

Edwards didn’t have an easy time. Paraclete (21-6-2) put runners on base in every inning. Edwards was also called for four illegal pitches.
