Houchen’s Homer Powers Santa Susana

Wes Houchen led off the seventh inning with a home run to lift host Santa Susana past Agoura, 5-4, in a District 16 game Tuesday at Royal High.
Mike Byer and Brandon Voorhees each had run-scoring doubles for Santa Susana (3-0) in the fourth inning to tie the score, 2-2.
Mike Falco of Agoura tied the score, 4-4, with a two-run, seventh inning home run.
In other games:
Lancaster 17, Rosamond 5--Matt Lopez had a run scoring triple and a run-scoring double and Matt Park and Dale Roberson also drove in two runs with two hits for host Lancaster (2-1) in a District 20 game.
Dustin Schramm hit a two-run, first-inning home run for Lancaster that tied the score, 2-2.
Burbank Burroughs 13, Sunland Tujunga Verdugo Hills 3--Tony Sandoval drove in three runs with four hits, including two doubles, for visiting Burbank Burroughs (1-0) in a District 20 game at Burroughs.
Burroughs had a nine-run fourth inning that included a run-scoring double by Sandoval and a two-run single by Tim Murphy.
Nick Jastrow had a home run and a single for Burroughs.
