AGOURA HILLS — Contracts for continued transit services for senior citizens and people with disabilities have been renewed by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works for residents of the department’s 3rd District.
The paratransit program is financed by a Proposition A measure passed in 1980. The half-cent sales tax has been collected since 1982.
Eligibility rules vary depending on a person’s place of residence, but the service is mainly for those who live in unincorporated areas around Agoura Hills, transit manager Robin Phillips said.
The curb-to-curb service is available only on weekdays.
The service also has been extended to Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center and Topanga Canyon.
For details about eligibility, call the Department of Public Works at (626) 458-3968.
