Lancaster Embraces Reganomics

Share

Lancaster infielder Jason Regan appears to have regained his form of last summer when he hit 22 home runs and batted .281 in 69 games with the JetHawks after he was promoted from Wisconsin of the Midwest League. He began slowly this season, hitting only one home run and driving in 10 runs while batting .195 in his first 26 games. The slump, however, is over. In his last 30 games, Regan hit 11 homers and batted .335 to raise his average to .265.

The JetHawks (39-28) survived a two-run rally in the ninth inning by the Bakersfield Blaze and stretched their winning streak to seven games with a 6-5 victory at Bakersfield.

SUNS

Nelson Antigua had two hits and drove in a run, but the Suns (5-13) lost, 9-2, to the Tri-City Posse at Oxnard College. Alex Sanchez singled in the Suns’ other run.
