BURBANK — A Metrolink train killed a Glendale man a day after his 29th birthday as it slowed for a scheduled stop at the Burbank Airport, authorities said Friday.
“It is unknown if he was crossing or just walking on the tracks,” said Burbank police Lt. Joe Latta. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner’s spokesman Scott Carrier said the man’s identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The accident happened at 6 p.m. Thursday as the train was traveling west from Union Station to Moorpark, Latta said.
