Third baseman Bobby Bonilla remained hospitalized at Rose Medical Center in Denver because of an intestinal virus. He is expected to be released today and Charlie Strasser, team trainer, will accompany Bonilla to Los Angeles. Bonilla, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list Saturday, will be under the supervision of team physician Michael Mellman. Second baseman Eric Young missed his fifth consecutive game with a right quadriceps strain. Young said he felt better, and he hopes to play tonight against the Angels. Valdes continued his up-and-down season, struggling with his control last Tuesday against the Padres in the team’s 3-2 loss in 12 innings. Before that, Valdes pitched a 1-0 shutout over the Oakland Athletics June 10 at Dodger Stadium.
