Buzak Gives Ice Dogs Back-to-Back Shutouts

Mike Buzak recorded Long Beach’s second straight shutout and Vitali Yachmenev, Victor Ignatjev and Patrik Augusta scored first-period goals Saturday, leading the Ice Dogs to a 4-0 victory over the Chicago Wolves, their ninth win in 10 games.

Buzak made 33 saves for his sixth shutout of the season, one day after Kay Whitmore blanked Milwaukee, 1-0.

Shawn Penn had the other goal for Long Beach, which has won four of its last five on the road.

Ray LeBlanc stopped 13 shots before he was pulled midway through the third period for the Wolves, who have lost three of their last four home games.
