Actress Alyssa Milano is a turn-of-the-century adventurer seeking her fortune in the wilds of Alaska in Goldrush: A Real-Life Alaskan Adventure on “The Wonderful World of Disney” (ABC, Sunday at 7 p.m.). Milano is young Frances Ella Fitz (known as Fizzy), a secretary who takes her typewriter and her dog Faust on this journey in hopes of finding paradise and wealth. Instead, she encounters claim jumpers, disreputable government officials, a con man and other troubles. For the family.

The Cat in the Hat and his little helpers start their second season in The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss (Nickelodeon, Monday at 11 a.m.). The first episode is “The Cat in the Hat Takes a Nap,” where the gang tries to convince the bird Terrence, who is in a very cranky mood, that naps can be very refreshing. For ages 2 to 5.

With the input of more than 1,000 animation professionals, Cartoon Network has selected and will show the 50 Greatest Cartoons of All Time (Cartoon Network, Saturday at 11 a.m.). After the eight-hour marathon, the network will feature the 10 best from the list of 50 (next Sunday at 7 a.m.). Cartoons to be screened include “Felix in Hollywood” (M.J. Winkler, 1923), “Popeye the Sailor Meets Sinbad the Sailor” (Paramount, 1936) and “Bob’s Birthday” (National Film Board of Canada, 1994). For the family.
