Blaze Causes $300,000 in Damage to Businesses
More than 70 county firefighters battled an early morning blaze Thursday at a two-story commercial building in Huntington Park.
Firefighters arrived at 2:18 a.m. and immediately called for backup. It took them nearly 1 1/2 hours to knock down the fire at 7212 Pacific Blvd., Inspector Ed Looney said.
An insurance agency and a women’s health clinic were heavily damaged. Officials estimated damage at $300,000. No injuries were reported.
Arson investigators are examining the cause of the fire.
