Aren’t most of us appalled and shocked that many of the working poor have to decide whether to buy food or pay rent (March 11)?

We in our middle- or upper-class comfort may assume that once someone has a job he will be able to meet his basic needs. This study quotes the Second Harvest CEO, who says we need to find the “political will and moral outrage to put an end to hunger.” Well, sign me up.
