Man Killed in Elevator Accident Is Identified
A worker at a Hollywood home-improvement store who was crushed to death Saturday in an elevator accident has been identified as Peter Joseph Fuentes, 30, of Burbank, coroner’s officials said Sunday.
Fuentes was crushed by weights that act as a counterbalance in the elevator shaft at the Home Depot store in the 5600 block of West Sunset Boulevard, according to Los Angeles fire officials. He had been retrieving a set of keys at the time of the 8:30 p.m. accident.
