Deputies Seek 4 Men on Felony Warrants

Investigators with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department are asking for help in locating four men wanted on outstanding felony warrants.

Ulysis Salos Moreno, 25, is suspected of fatally shooting his brother-in-law Darwin Cruz, 26, in 1996. The two got into an argument and Moreno shot Cruz several times with a 9-millimeter handgun, according to investigators.

Moreno is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be in Mexico or El Salvador.

Daryl Lynn Simpson, 36, is wanted for violating the terms of his probation. Simpson had been convicted of kidnapping in 1994.

He is described as 5 feet 8 and 160 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair. His left arm is tattooed with a Grim Reaper, stars, a moon, Bugs Bunny, and Harley-Davidson wings. On his right arm are tattoos of a skeleton on a motorcycle, a fish and a reef.

Thomas Edward Chaloupka, 55, is wanted for violating probation and failing to appear for a court hearing. Chaloupka had been convicted of filing false claims. He was later arrested for child molestation, but fled after being released on bail.

He is described as 5 feet 11 and 170 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. His last known address was in Ojai.

Herbert Ulises Segura, 25, is wanted on suspicion of molesting a 12-year-old girl.

Segura is described as 5 feet 9 and 150 pounds, with black hair and eyes. His last known address was in Oak View, and he is believed to have fled to El Salvador.
