After a three-week investigation, three Oxnard men have been arrested on suspicion of shipping large quantities of marijuana to the East Coast.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Narcotic Detail, the FBI and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service recently intercepted several packages of marijuana that were to be sent to other states, authorities said.

Leo Calvin Mahoney, 32, Marion Christopher Lecky, 21, and Dwight Almando Gooden, 23, are suspected of distributing marijuana to the East Coast via commercial delivery services from various mail drops in Ventura County, authorities said.

The men were arrested Wednesday about 4 p.m.

Approximately 100 pounds of marijuana was seized.

Additionally, at least two individuals were arrested in Virginia in connection with the case.
