Hart 2, Burroughs 1--Mark Horvat hit a run-scoring single for Hart with two out in the seventh inning of a Foothill League game at Burroughs.

Justin Wiley (5-0) pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts for Hart (21-3, 10-2), which tied the score when J.T. Stotts doubled and scored on a double steal in the sixth.

Tony Sandoval pitched a seven-hitter with nine strikeouts for Burroughs, which took a 1-0 lead on Danny Mariscal’s squeeze in the fifth.

Thousand Oaks 3, Newbury Park 1--Lancer sophomores Chris Cordeiro and Tracy Goebel held the Panthers to five hits in a Marmonte League victory at Newbury Park.

Cordeiro (5-1) pitched six scoreless innings but was replaced by Goebel after Joe Hamer doubled and Ryan Shipton singled in the seventh.

Goebel struck out two batters, and after an error scored Hamer, finished off his second save.

Jay Severns had a two-run homer in the fourth for Thousand Oaks (15-7-1, 6-4-1).

Barry Tolli had two hits for the Panthers (9-12, 2-9).

Antelope Valley 2, Highland 0--Hector Velez (5-4) pitched a seven-hitter, striking out seven and walking two, for the Antelopes (9-12, 6-5) in a Golden League victory at Antelope Valley.

Jorge Flores doubled home Jason Elizondo and Chris Barton scored on a throwing error by Jon Anello of Highland (12-9, 7-4).

Palmdale 11, Littlerock 3--Chris Testa had three hits, including a two-run home run in a six-run second inning for the Falcons (17-4, 12-0) in a Golden League game at Palmdale.

J.J. Rosati hit a grand slam.

Quartz Hill 5, Lancaster 3--Travis Allen (2-1) pitched a three-hitter and struck out 14 for the Rebels in a Golden League victory at Lancaster.

Fernando Cardenas had three hits for the Rebels (10-11, 4-8), who broke a 2-2 tie in the fourth on Jeremy Elkins’ run-scoring single.

Parker Metheny of Quartz Hill hit a solo home run.

Hueneme 11, Oxnard 7--Mike Serrata had a double and a run-scoring single for the Vikings (14-9, 6-5) in a Channel League victory at Oxnard (9-9-1, 3-7-1).

Monroe 2, Van Nuys 1--John Ennis (6-3) pitched a one-hitter for the Vikings (12-12-1, 7-7) to win a Mid-Valley League pitching duel at Monroe.

Jose Avila and Angel Barajas combined on a two-hitter for Van Nuys (11-12-1, 6-6-1).

Ennis had a bases-loaded walk and a triple.

Paraclete 5, Bishop Union 4--Coley Delaney scored from third on a throwing error with one out in the seventh to give the Spirits (17-0, 7-0) a High Desert League victory at Bishop Union.

Center fielder Jeff Arroyo made a diving catch to save the game in the bottom of the seventh.

Jason Brown (6-0) pitched a six-hitter and struck out seven, and hit a solo home run.

David Brown had three hits and Justin Kolesar added two.

Dos Pueblos 10, Rio Mesa 6--Richard Martinez had two hits, including a three-run home run in a five-run first inning, but the Spartans (18-6, 9-2) lost a Channel League game at Dos Pueblos.

Greg Ramirez (7-2) allowed 10 earned runs on 14 hits in four innings for Rio Mesa.

Ventura 5, San Marcos 2--Mike Askay hit a tie-breaking single with two out in a three-run sixth inning for the Cougars in a Channel League game at San Marcos.

Donnie Fuller (2-2) pitched a six-hitter with 12 strikeouts for Ventura (8-11-1, 3-6-1).

Pasadena 8, Glendale 5--Ryan Noll had two hits, including a run-scoring triple, for the Dynamiters (6-14-1, 4-7-1) in a Pacific League loss at Pasadena.

Grace Brethren 13, First Lutheran 1--Tim Thompson (9-0) pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the Hawks (16-2, 7-0) in a Heritage League game shortened to five innings at Grace Brethren.
