La Habra High School student Alejandra Rodriguez has been chosen to represent her campus at the 1998 Girls’ State conference this summer.

Rodriguez, of Fullerton, will join girls from throughout the state for a week in Sacramento. Girls’ State is an American Legion program that sends high school juniors to Sacramento, where they learn about state government. There, students run for office and serve on boards to become familiar with various aspects of the government.

Rodriguez, who hopes to attend UCLA and become an elementary school teacher, has a 3.67 grade point average and is active in school programs and honor societies.
