A Greyhound bus and a meat-delivery van collided on the northbound Santa Ana Freeway south of the Artesia Freeway on Thursday afternoon, leaving one man with minor injuries but backing up traffic for hours, officials said.

Just after 1 p.m., the bus rear-ended the truck near the Magnolia Avenue offramp, knocking it onto its side, Anaheim fire dispatcher Edward Gallegos said. Both Fullerton and Anaheim fire departments as well as the California Highway Patrol responded to the accident, which blocked the right lane of the freeway.

The bus driver was trapped inside the bus for 20 minutes and suffered minor injuries, Gallegos said. The driver was taken to Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim. The bus passengers and the truck driver escaped uninjured.
