The fourth annual Los Angeles Intertribal Pow Wow is expected to attract more than 300 Native American dancers, representing more than 40 tribes, to what is described as the largest gathering of Native Americans in Southern California.

The event will be held at Hansen Dam Sports Complex on Saturday and Sunday.

Besides dancers, there will be lectures, demonstrations of Native American culture and storytelling sessions.

Organizers said vendors will be selling customary Native American foods, including barbecued buffalo. Vendors and artisans will also be selling such items as Navajo turquoise and silver jewelry, Hopi pottery, Apache baskets and Sioux beadwork.
