Top-seeded Corona del Mar is shooting for the school’s first title since 1989 and has been quietly waiting for this rematch with second-seeded Santa Ynez in the Division III final. Last year, Santa Ynez won its third consecutive section title with a five-game victory over Corona del Mar. The Sea Kings’ five losses are deceiving considering two were at the hands of Division I finalist Santa Margarita and two more to Newport Harbor, which was unbeaten before losing to Mira Costa in Wednesday’s semifinals. Corona del Mar will have to pass well so sophomore setter Kevin Hansen can fully utilize a talented middle attack.
