Supervisor Races in 2nd, 4th Districts

Share

A vote for Vince Curtis for Ventura County supervisor is literally a vote for a breath of fresh air!

Vince values clean air, safe and quiet neighborhoods, quality education, less traffic and, most important, preservation of our precious open space. As supervisor, Vince Curtis will work for constituents, not big development interests.

Vote for the real slow-growth supervisor--Vince Curtis.

Frank Schillo is the man! Anyone can become a politician but it is rare for a politician to remain a good man. Here are some examples of the fine politician we have in office:

* He really cares about people.

* He has spent a lot of time working for individuals who have problems with county government.

* He is proven after serving four years as county supervisor.

Let’s reelect Frank Schillo.

Thank goodness we citizens of the 4th District have a choice on Tuesday. I and many others were heartened when Jonathan Palo decided to challenge the incumbent.

Jon Palo is a breath of fresh air with a good sense of humor and a lot of common sense. He does not accept campaign contributions from developers. And Jon is the only candidate for 4th District supervisor who supports the voter-sponsored, grass-roots, volunteer initiative effort to Save Open Space and Agricultural Resources (SOAR).

It’s true that SOAR is not the only issue but it does speak to the vision Jon has for Ventura County--one that maintains agriculture and open space at the expense of urban sprawl. Vote for Jon Palo.

Nowadays it seems that few politicians are willing to take a strong stand (or even a wimpy stand) without first commissioning a poll to tell them the safest thing to say. Fortunately that description does not fit Judy Mikels.

As our supervisor, Judy has proven that she is far more concerned with doing what is right than doing what is politically correct.

Judy Mikels has brought independent thinking and a willingness to challenge the status quo. She is not a one-issue candidate. During the past four years she’s done the detail work that has to be done in order to make truly lasting improvements in our county. That’s why Judy Mikels has earned my vote.
