It’s Sunday, you want to gather the family around the table for dinner tonight ‘cause, well, that’s what families are supposed to do, right? So you’re thinking, what, slab of beef? Maybe a heavy cream sauce-covered pasta? Hmmm. Mealtime--even when it’s at a restaurant--doesn’t have to be fat-laden. If you want to reach or maintain a healthy weight, avoid fried, sauteed and breaded foods, cream and butter sauces, salty soups and meats, and sweet, creamy desserts.

That doesn’t mean you’re stuck with a plate of celery and carrot sticks, though. Try a pasta with a tomato-based sauce; broiled, steamed or grilled chicken, fish or lean meat; arroz con pollo; and curry dishes without coconut milk can be delicious and body-friendly.
