Rock Concert for Youth Scholarships

Artists to Raise Money for Museum

* The Thousand Oaks Plein-air Watercolorists will hold a “Paint Out” fund-raiser from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Stagecoach Inn Museum, 51 S. Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park. Hospital Auxiliary Plans Holiday Gift Show

* The St. John’s Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will host a grand opening for its 1998 Christmas Gift Show from 3 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 at the hospital conference center, 1600 N. Rose Ave., Oxnard. ‘Shark Shootout’ to Help Children’s Program

* The Children’s Resource Program of Interface Children Family Services will be the beneficiary of golfer Greg Norman’s annual Shark Shootout Nov. 11-15 at the Sherwood Country Club, 320 W. Stafford Road, Thousand Oaks. The tournament, featuring professional golfers, will begin with pro-am competition the first two days, followed by championship rounds the final three days. Competition will begin about 8 a.m. daily. Spectator admission is $100 for all five days; or $20 a day Nov. 11 and 12, $30 a day Nov. 13-15.
