MIGUEL A. PULIDO JR.

Pulido was first elected to the City Council in 1986 after helping his father fight city plans to tear down the family’s Ace Muffler Shop for a redevelopment project.

TED R. MORENO

A Santa Ana native, Moreno was first elected to the City Council in 1992 at age 25. He is a real estate agent with Century 21.

* Education: B.A., business administration, Cal State Fullerton, 1991.

* Career highlights: Ran as a Democrat for state Assembly, 1994; reelected to council, 1996.

* Priorities: Reduce wasteful spending. Lower salaries of city employees who make more than $100,000 a year. Increase street maintenance and pothole repair. Provide more youth programs.
