A fire at a Westminster law office Saturday night that caused $12,000 damage was apparently started with a Molotov cocktail, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority said Sunday.

Capt. Scott Brown said investigators with the Fire Authority’s arson detail and the Westminster Police Department are working to determine who started the fire at the Little Saigon law office.

The fire was reported about 6:45 p.m. at 9191 Bolsa Ave., and controlled within 15 minutes, Brown said.

He said a device appearing to be a Molotov cocktail was discovered in the Vietnamese-owned business, and witnesses also told investigators that they saw an object being thrown into the building before the fire.
