A fund-raising golf tournament to benefit the Mardan Center of Educational Therapy in Irvine brought in $37,000 from more than 100 participants, organizers of the Mission Viejo event said.
The proceeds of the Sept. 28 tournament and one in August bring to $67,000 the total that the school has raised this year for its programs.
Established in 1962, the Irvine school is a private, nonprofit therapeutic treatment center for children.
