No. 3 UCLA (7-0, 5-0) at OREGON STATE (4-5, 1-5)

Share

* Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Parker Stadium, Fox Sports West.

* Story line: The Bruins might have been late in arriving at the conclusion, but they are there now: They need to start blowing out some teams, starting with this one, to impress the voters and climb back into one of the top two spots in the BCS ratings. The need is not so much to run up the score, but to dominate.

* UCLA update: The Bruins play three of their last four regular-season games on the road. If their bowl game is anywhere but Pasadena on Jan. 1, it will be four of the last five.

* Oregon State update: After a 4-2 start, the Beavers are trying to squeeze out a fifth win for the first time since 1971. But the end to a once-promising season will come against No. 3 UCLA and No. 21 Oregon, with a bye in between. The Beavers loaded up early in the season, with victories over Nevada, Baylor, Utah State and Stanford.
