Police Seeking Teens Who Attacked Man
Two teenagers were at large after a weekend assault on an Oxnard man, authorities said Monday.
Jose Negrete told Oxnard police that he was walking to his car from his home in the 200 block of North Hayes Avenue about 6 p.m. Sunday when he was approached by two males about 17 years old.
One of the teens held a knife to Negrete’s throat and demanded money, police said. Negrete handed over his cash, and the teen holding the knife then stabbed Negrete in the lower abdomen, authorities said.
Both assailants ran south on Hayes Avenue.
Negrete was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and released.
