Three men and a woman were arrested Wednesday shortly after medical supplies were taken from a supermarket, authorities said.

The suspects were identified as Jesus Garcia, 27; Martin Amarillas, 32; Santiago Aguirre, 25; and Elizabeth Margarita, 38, all of Los Angeles, according to Lt. Dan Castillo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Santa Clarita station.

About 10:30 a.m., three men entered the Hughes Market in the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road and stole over-the-counter medical supplies, then fled in a van driven by a woman, Castillo said. A deputy responding to the call saw the van on the southbound Golden State Freeway in Sylmar, Castillo said. The deputy pulled the van over near the San Diego Freeway interchange with help from officers of the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol.
