Caught in Act, Thief Pulls Knife on Man
A landscaper was robbed at knifepoint of several pieces of gardening equipment Wednesday by a man who climbed into the bed of his pickup truck, deputies said.
The robbery occurred about 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Rosario Drive, Sheriff’s Det. Ron Helus said. The victim was not injured. The suspect fled in a two-door, white compact car.
The suspect was going through the truck when the owner arrived. He sprayed a substance at the landscaper and missed, then brandished a knife.
Deputies have a good description of the suspect and the license plate number of the car he was driving, Helus said.
