New Los Angeles city fire stations in Arleta, Studio City and Pacoima, and replacement of the West Valley police station in Reseda are among the projects that have been recommended for a possible city bond issue.

The mayor and City Council are considering asking voters to approve a $1.5 billion bond package for new police and fire facilities on the April ballot.

Police and fire officials presented a wish list of possible new projects Monday to a blue-ribbon oversight panel charged with shepherding the bond projects.

Fire officials said they will request money for a $15-million fire station in Arleta, a $10.6-million station in Studio City, a $14.3-million station in Northridge and new stations in Sun Valley, Tarzana and Woodland Hills among others. The projects are second on a priority list behind $23.4 million in proposed improvements to the fire department’s air operations based at Van Nuys Airport.

Besides requesting $30.2 million to replace the West Valley station, police officials asked for funds for a new area station in the north central Valley, two other stations at unspecified locations and an East Valley police headquarters.
