Man, Woman Found Shot to Death in Car

Police are investigating the shooting deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found early Monday in a car parked on a residential street.

Police identified the victims as Victor Torres Muniz, 26, of Sylmar and Angela Gudino, 23, of Panorama City. An elementary school student on his way to class saw the couple and called for help.

The pair were in a 1995 Nissan Maxima, Los Angeles Police Det. Frank Bishop said. The engine was still running when the bodies were discovered, said Sgt. Willie Guerrero, an LAPD spokesman.

Neighbors told police they heard several gunshots and a car door slam.

The couple may have been shot by a third person inside the car, said Lt. Rick Papke, detective commander of the Foothill Division.

“We have hardly anything,” said Bishop said. “This is a tough one.”
