NEWPORT BEACH
Fashion Island’s 115-foot white fir--billed as the nation’s tallest decorated Christmas tree--will blaze with light after the official lighting ceremony this evening. Santa Claus will narrate the festivities, followed at 6:30 p.m. by the lighting of the 17,000 white bulbs covering the tree.
