Mother Arrested in Death of Newly Born Twin Son
A Long Beach woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of murder after police found the body of one of her 5-day-old twins in her apartment, authorities said.
Carol Ann Clark, 32, who had given birth to twin boys, was booked into County Jail where she was being held without bail, Long Beach police said.
Officers said they found the dead infant Saturday night in an apartment in the 2100 block of Pine Avenue shortly after receiving a call from one of Clark’s neighbors. The other twin was reported in good condition.
Clark was found a short time later, and taken to the police station for questioning. A cause of death was not immediately available.
