Ventura County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 16-year-old Camarillo boy and are searching for a second teenager in connection with a robbery and stabbing at a Camarillo gas station on Sunday.

Authorities say the pair allegedly stabbed a 59-year-old attendant during the holdup of an Arco station in the 2400 block of Ventura Boulevard about 8:50 p.m.

Witnesses gave sheriff’s deputies a description of the robbers, which led to the arrest, said Sheriff’s Det. Dan Thompson.

Detectives are using video surveillance footage from the gas station to identify and track down the second suspect.

The attendant, whose name was withheld, was found with several stab wounds to his upper body. He was admitted to St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital. Authorities said his wounds are not life-threatening.
