An important game for two teams that need an idea of where they stand before entering league play next week. Although Mission Viejo has won three in a row after losing its season opener, the Diablos remain unsettled on offense. Wide receiver Joey Reid hasn’t played since injuring his right knee against Aliso Niguel. John Hudgins will start at quarterback again while Bob Young (who still plays cornerback) recovers from a sore right shoulder. The Vikings’ Ray Mietkiewicz is the county’s second-leading rusher (715 yards), but Marina needs to throw the ball a little more often to keep defenses off-balance.
