In nonleague games:
Hueneme 48, Muir 0--The Vikings (4-1) scored on their first four possessions, rolling up 442 yards, and recorded their second consecutive shutout and fourth consecutive victory.
Junior wide receiver Keary Colbert, averaging 44.6 yards per reception, caught three passes for 134 yards, all for touchdowns. Colbert (6 feet 2, 190 pounds) scored on receptions of 17, 55 and 62 yards from Jeff Garcia, who was five of six for 187 yards.
Donald Thompson rushed for 122 yards in 14 carries and scored two touchdowns. Jason Austin gained 75 yards in three carries, including a 54-yard touchdown.
The Vikings held Muir (1-4) to 95 yards, including minus-two yards in the second half. On 28 plays, Muir either was dropped for a loss or held to no gain.
Since an opening loss to Alemany, the Vikings have outscored the opposition, 178-42.
The Vikings preserved the shutout when linebacker Moses Gonzales recovered a fumble at the one-yard line late in the third quarter.
He has been the Vikings’ big-play receiver from the beginning. On two of his three touchdowns, he showed his speed by getting behind Mustang defenders.
