Kilpatrick Wakes Up Toward the End and Rushes Past L.A. Baptist, 36-18
Albert Youngblood rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns in 25 carries and Dominic Reed rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns in 12 carries to lead Kilpatrick to a 36-18 victory over L.A. Baptist on Saturday night in an Alpha League game at Alemany High.
Trailing, 18-8, Kilpatrick (2-4, 1-0 in league play) scored 28 consecutive points in the last 15 minutes, taking a 22-18 led on Youngblood’s third touchdown, a one-yard run with 6:01 left in the third quarter.
Scott Swenson of L.A. Baptist completed 17 of 28 passes for 161 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Swenson also ran for a 30-yard touchdown that gave the Knights (4-2, 0-1) an 18-8 lead with nine minutes left in the third quarter.
