Men’s soccer

Ramirez scored goals in each of Fullerton’s two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games last week, including the winner in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over second-ranked UCLA. Ramirez, a sophomore who was an All-Sunset League selection at Huntington Beach High, leads the Titans with 11 goals. Ramirez has scored at least one goal in eight of Fullerton’s 13 games.

THIS WEEK

Men’s soccer: The Titans (9-3-1) are unbeaten in two Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games after defeating defending national champion UCLA at Titan Stadium. It was the Titans’ third consecutive victory over UCLA. Fullerton defeated Sacramento State, 3-0, Friday night. The Titans play at Oregon State Friday and at Washington Sunday.

Women’s soccer: Fullerton (6-8-1) boosted its Big West Conference record to 3-2-1 Sunday with a 4-3 victory over Long Beach State, thanks to second-half goals by Tennli Ulicny and Shawna Panter. The Titans play Idaho at 7 p.m. Friday and Boise State at 2 p.m. Sunday, both at Titan Stadium.

Women’s volleyball: The Titans (7-12, 1-7) continue to struggle in the Big West. They were beaten by Nevada, 3-0, Friday and Utah State, 3-1, Sunday. Fullerton plays at Idaho Thursday and at Boise State Saturday.

Cross-country: The men’s and women’s teams each finished fourth in last weekend’s UC San Diego Invitational. Josh Slater finished 14th and Ethan Friend 22nd to lead the Titan men. An 11th-place finish by freshman Terry Vega was the top effort for the women. The Titans will compete Saturday in the Bronco Invitational at Cal Poly Pomona.
