Chaffey 37, Antelope Valley 7--The Panthers came alive in the third quarter of a Foothill Conference Northern Division game at Antelope Valley.

Led by Matt Georgia’s passing, Chaffey (5-1, 1-0) gained 148 yards while holding the Marauders to minus-nine yards in the third quarter. They scored 21 points in the process to break open a game that was 9-7 at halftime.

Georgia completed 17 of 25 passes for 279 yards, including third-quarter scoring tosses of 41 and seven yards to Keith Dawson. Dawson finished with eight receptions for 164 yards.

Alkire, a former tight end who was named a national player of the week for his 102-yard performance last week in only his second appearance at running back, was held to 19 yards in eight carries.
