Women’s volleyball

The Titan women’s volleyball team was beaten twice last week, but Geddes turned in strong performances in both matches. Geddes, a freshman from Escondido, had 13 kills and only four errors in 29 attempts against Idaho. She had 19 kills and only five errors in 46 attempts against Boise State. For the season, she leads the team in kills (3.7 per game) and in digs (3.45 per game).

THIS WEEK

Women’s volleyball: The Titans (7-14, 1-9) have lost seven conference matches in a row after losing to Idaho and Boise State last week. Down to a roster of nine, Fullerton plays Pacific Friday and top-ranked Long Beach State Saturday. Both matches start at 7 p.m. in Titan Gym.

Cross-country: The Titan men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Big West Conference meet Saturday in Denton, Texas. They were idle last weekend. Freshman Terry Vega has been the top runner for the women’s team this season ahead of Carrie Garritson and Kristen Reyes. Coach John Elders said Garritson is recovered from a recent leg injury. Josh Slater, Ethan Friend and Eric Loudon are the top challengers for the men.

Women’s tennis: The Titans host the CSF Invitational Thursday through Sunday. Thirty singles players and 14 doubles teams are entered from UC Irvine, Cal State Northridge, Loyola Marymount and Fullerton.
