7 TONIGHT TUSTIN HIGH
This Golden West League showdown has been outstanding the last two years, but probably won’t have the scoring of last year’s 43-28 game (won by Tustin) or 1996’s memorable 50-40 Servite victory. The Friars have faced some stellar passing teams (Mater Dei, Esperanza, Fountain Valley), and if they focus on the run--not a bad idea against the Tillers’ double-wing attack--Tustin’s passing game won’t hurt the Friars the way those other teams did. Only once this season has Tustin scored more than four touchdowns. Last week, Servite struggled in a 20-14 victory over Ocean View.
