Committee to Discuss Ideas for City Birthday
Maybe there will be a one-day celebration at City Hall. Or a big hotel party, or a yearlong series of activities citywide.
A new committee will help decide what to do in 1999 to celebrate the city’s 10th anniversary of incorporation.
The City Council will appoint members to the committee later this month.
“I really want to showcase some of the projects we’ve done around the city,” said Councilwoman Karen Lloreda, “and out at parks so as many residents can participate as possible.”
